Red Shoulder Hawk snap shot

I heard him/her complaining that I was walking around my yard.

When I found where he/she was sitting it turned out to be the tallest spot on one of the pine trees.

I grabbed the camera and tripod and tried to get it in focus.

Another really nice shot. I work with a guy who raises and races pigeons. When he sees one of these hanging around he cringes. They are like the carnivores of the sky. Beautiful birds though and a really nice pic you took there.

You might notice less of a few other species around.

That's why I can never get anywhere.  I'm always being chased by hawks.  Well, hawks and roosters, but that's another story.

And let me get this straight.  The hawk was complaining about what you were doing.  And you had no idea that what you were doing could possibly invoke complaints from anyone.  And you wonder if the hawk is male or female.  Hmmmmm....

    Great shot Mike.

I wish I could have taken one of the hawk that was
landing on our fence. For about a week he was stopping
    by.
