Red light warning during recording session?

Has anyone heard of a way to use Sonar to generate a MIDI Command to turn on a flashing red light via some hardware when the "record" button is pushed?

    @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38.

    They have a variety from simple on off lights to elaborate displays. Have one on my studio shopping list.
