Regarding Studio One

Studio One has an instrument called Presence XT. It is advertised, amongst other things, as being able to open Kontakt files.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this and can comment as to how well it works?

Kinda sorta. It will open Kontakt 4 files. Good if you have old libraries. I have a few drum samples in kontakt 4 dirmat that work. Will also import EXS files.

Thank you for your replies. It looks like Presonus is a bit remiss with that claim.

I would agree. However, if you own any recent Kontakt libraries, you would know that those are locked to Kontakt. For people with older Gigas/EXS libraries who didn't already have Kontakt, it was probably a very nice feature. If you are using sample libraries today, you should already have Kontakt anyway. If you don't, make sure the libraries you are interested in support Kontakt Player.
