It might explain the missing beater as well....

    Reheasal rooms.

    Universally abused world wide.

You end up having to charge deposits and doing gear  inspections before returning the deposit which makes it a drag for everyone just because of one or two idiots.

Could be worse, you might be in a "sensitive acoustic guitar" band with Yngwie in the rehearsing space right next door.

That is pretty low to make off with a mans kick beater. Kind of a difficult caper to pull off with everyone there no? Possibly came off and rolled somewhere?

I'm sorry to hear about your situation there, Alex. At least they didn't damage or make off with something more expensive. There must be someone you can't trust. Maybe you should contact Jonbouy Security Ltd. and Jonbouy Insurance Ltd. to protect your equipment. LOL Good luck with that.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

It was the biggest one there.
Stool couldn't handle it- wore the table as a hat leaving and was picking his teeth
    with the kick beater.
    Or the bad theory...
When the stool gave way it explains where the beater made off to...and they
carried him out on the table.
    Geeze....I miss those days sometimes.

Maybe a small investment in a couple of CCTV cameras might act as a deterrnt Alex.

There is a camera there(in both rooms actually), but I don't want to look all the time.

I had the strange feeeling that the ppl that are rehearsing there were responsable ones, obviously not :(

Alex ... c'mon ... show us the CH spirit ...

You find an old milk crate, sit on it and start playing ... the broken drumstool either becomes a new cymbal or cowbell, or you end up using it as the piece de finale resistance and use it to show everyone how Keith Moon used his wits.

It might get expansive, but you can always get one of those fake drum sets, so you look like that Mike guy in Dream Theater with all that stuff he never used or knew how to use ... but it looked good ... and of course, you can throw those around at the end of the show, because they are fake!

Or get that green something monster to help you ... a drummer worried about a drumstool ... I'm gonna have to talk to yohhh momma! The music must go on ... !!!

Some bands just go too far trying to get that sound.
