Personally, Steve, the birth of a child is a great occasion, whether royal or not.
Just a thought.

I care. Eye care. Ike air. 'Tis all the same to me. @Dub: Private Eye - The original cover was published when Prince George was born a couple of years back, I just altered it to reflect today's momentous events.

They did have another baby - a girl I think. There was some goofy sound bite on the news last night, showing 2 guys putting up some sort of a notice 'plaque' on a tripod set out in some sort of courtyard, for people to come up and read, announcing the birth. The scene looked a bit odd, but there are folks in England and elsewhere that follow all things royal, and regardless of anybody's thoughts/feelings about the royal family, someone had a normal delivery of a healthy baby, and for those two parents, a cool thing. Sometimes, I think folks sort of 'trap' the younger royals with the artificial pomp and circumstance of days gone by, and though they do their best to weather it, I think they would just as soon skip all the pageantry, if given a chance to. Some traditions get 'outgrown'. Perhaps some of that will change whenever the current queen passes. When she was young, she did some pretty cool stuff, like pretty much dismantling their colonial empire, and returning autonomy to various countries they used to control. Bob Bone

I don't hate them either. I just think they are more than capable of funding themselves without the enslavement of peons, which is exactly what they do now.

Forget the return of the jedi... the return on the EMPIRE!! War is the answer, war is always the answer, we try to pretend that it isn't but in the end, it always is, in this world. If we don't start it we will be pushed into it by someone else, I just hope we in the west stay ready and don't go to sleep in our ease.
