Release Keyboard to VST Synth (not quite solved - workaround)

Hi All!

I am having a small problem with Sampletank 3 in Sonar Platinum. I have the Sample Tank 3 editor window open, have clicked on search and am trying to type in a search string. All is well until I type the letter O. Rather than adding an O to the search string, Sonar is toggling the envelope offset mode on and off, which is the shortcut assigned to that key. How do I tell Sonar to release all keys to the open VST window?

Thanks for your help:)

Bruce.

Try giving all keystrokes to the plug-ins, button J in the standard VST header in the image below from http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Mixing.28.html

Click the little keyboard thing at the top right of the window I think it is, that will give all keystrokes to your synth

    You are welcome.
Don't feel bad, just edit the original post and add [Solved] to the subject and when the next person post the same question pass the info on.

Hmmmm. I may have spoken too soon, though I am sure you are still a legend scook:)

Thanks Jeff for the response too.

The give keystrokes button made no difference. I have found a workaround - seems to work if I use the shift key just for that letter. weird!

Whatever works, I do not have ST3 and can only offer the standard solution. If the plug-in editor window opens a separate window, the give all keystrokes button may not work. In that case, I would suggest filing a problem report so Cakewalk can work with IK to solve the problem.

Thanks again - I will file a report, all be it a very minor one:)
