That is frustrating, yes. I have metering issues with X2. So I paid for the upgrade and can't use it.

But, I make web apps for a living and know that no matter how much I test a site, there will be some user somewhere with a different machine, browser, screen size, etc etc that will not have as great of an experience as I'd like them to have.

And I realize that software development such as audio-apps is 1000x worse because they all depend on external 3rd party hardware to run as intended. Does Cakewalk own my interface? No idea. I don't expect them to own everyones because that list of interfaces is huge, let alone controllers, digital mixers, etc etc etc.

So my metering issue can be solved in the next patch. That's cool with me. X1 works and allows me to continue as I was before.

Chris, thank you for stating the truth. I started this post, unfortunately expecting civility and useful feedback, not abuse, ridicule, and somebody trying to make me look stupid just because they think they are very clever. Freedom of expression or ideas without fear of retribution, belittling or derogatory remarks is something these forums do not support, or are not capable of supporting. They seem to be more of a "boys sports event" where it is ok to insult others whom you know nothing about. I'm sure there will be those of you out there who can't wait to reply to me with your "best shots", slinging whatever you can dream up to try and make me out the dope. Ah, don't bother. I am way ahead of you, and don't need or want your help. Ta ta.

I couldn't agree more with both you and Chris.
I've seen these kinds of things everywhere in these forums as well..

I think it's very disrespectful to ignore the posters questions just because you don't have the problem your self..
It makes you wonder.. Is it these kinds of replies they want to get when they run into problems in the future..?

It's frustrating. It poisons the idea of internet exchange. But alas, you CAN find what you need often if you can navigate through it. It kinda like this, other than an extremely small percentage, does anyone complain to complain? I don't think so. I think people do expect a certain degree of quality. For me, it's the same goal as always LOL, I just want to be able to do what I need w/o the constant ARRRRRGGGGGG factor of things not doing what they are supposed to. I'm currently frustrated but I think X2 is kinda close. Not there for me, but kinda close.

i7 860/MSI mobo/8GB ram/win7x64ultimate/X2/profire 610/oxygen 61/running 48k currently.

Unfortunately it does happen, at least around here.  It's the typical rant without any details only for the OP to disappear.  And to be honest, it's sometimes hard to tell from one to the next...  which causes many to make an assumption of the worst.  Human nature and all..

For this post... pointing out SONAR's issues and at the same time saying that software can be bug free, if only the effort was made, was pretty much asking for less than positive responses.  So it goes...

Hello to everyone,, just wanted to say that I do have some issues with the X2 and the Upgrade Quick fixes, I have a very nice computer, custom made with I core 7, Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DPS, here it is, when I Upgrade everything, the program from X1, never had one problem with tracking at all, not one problem at all, 16 gigs of Ram, that should be enough. Now, yes, now, there are bumps and hesitations with the program when listening back. This is not bug free, Oh, forgot to tell you, upgrade the newer drivers for the Focusrite, and even deleted it and re-installed it once again. Went into control panel and made sure that it was the proper bit, 24 and everything else. This crap is bothering me.. never one problem, and then Bingo... can't play back without it messing up... Do I have to run out and purchase another interface for the X2, like the RME Fireface 800, this is not cheap... we are looking at 1800 clams...  are there any fixes for this Crap..

thank you
