Released
This is a song that I originally posted about 5 years ago. I've done some tweaking to bring up the vocals a little and some other general cleanup that was suggested by some of you good people here. Please let me know what you think! https://www.bandlab.com/l...e811-80c3-00155d60d108

Good song and mix. I especially liked the panning of the 2 clean electrics, the string part from 1:00-1:20, and the stop at 4:10. Drums were excellent as well. Not sure there's anything I'd change...

cool tune! like the heavy guitars against the clean.. during the heavy parts, seems like the kick doesn't have quite enough impact, and the snare sticks out a bit too much for my liking..... but the guitars and bass seem cool like they are, dig the solo, has a nice zakk wylde vibe without the ridiculous vibrato!

I appreciate the listen bats! I'll have to revisit the bass drum on this. I purposely made the snare prominent during the heavy parts though. Personal preference I guess. :) Glad you liked the solo(I agree about zakk's vibrato)! Thanks again man!

Excellent guitars - not a bad tone in the bunch, clean and electric. I think compositionally this is very strong. Excellent parts in the arrangement, with some super chops, and vocal performance is quality. Very well done! For me, the "telephone" eq treatment for the verses got old. I could see it maybe a little in the beginning, then cut to and stay with the vocal in full-bodied mode. Does that make sense? I hope I'm explaining my thought correctly, for it's a very good vocal performance throughout. Just wanted to hear more bottom end of the vocal spectrum. I think the change-up switcheroo at the end is pretty genius. cheers, -Tom

Hey thanks Tom! I appreciate all the kind words man! You explained yourself very clearly, and I think you have a good point. I'm glad you like the little change up towards the end. I like that part too. :) Thanks for listening and for your perspective man! The feedback always helps!

Leadfoot, Very cool song. Love the guitars and solo. Vocals are really good too. I agree with Tom, for me the telephone effect gets old after a bit. I would lean more toward a telephone effect morphing into a heavily compressed vocal (but adding some bottom end back in). Kind of like the Chili Peppers Give It Away vocal. Super compressed but full-bodied. Anyway, really well executed in performance and mix. Regards

Man, so many cool elements on this tune. Firstly, I like the telephone effect on the vocals in both verses, but they did seem to drag on a bit. Totally dig that snare sound, but I agree with Bat's it comes across a little hot to me. I absolutely love the arrangement on this. The middle jam out section was very cool and you really nailed that guitar solo - very classy and professional. And then there's that stop and change at 4:10, holy hell that was sweet. I didn't expect that. Surprises like that are great. Nice job, thanks for sharing.

Great sound, song, and production. I agree with the above concerning the telephone effect but to me that is minor. Good work and thanks for posting.

The fx on your lead vocal was interesting - what did you use there? Overall a cool song - very heavy.

Hey Mark! Thanks for the positive words man! Yeah I probably should do something about those verses. I'm working on some new stuff though, so it will probably be a while. :) Thanks again for listening!

I don't normally listen to heavy rock (I know I know), but this is REALLY good (to me)! Love the vocal sound in the verses and the guitar solos.. Also love the clean verses distorted guitars throughout. Great stuff!
