Absolutely wonderful. Could have been on 'Glasgow Walker' or 'No Little Boy'. Love the nod to 'Glorious Fool' and the other song titles. You nailed the sound of his latter day band, no mean feat. A fine tribute. Just that way off in the background  fuzz guitar solo missing

I've listened to this several times now - it's just wonderful. Open, airy and silky - love the vocals. Instrumentation is simple and it's perfect - no crazy flashy stuff, just tasteful playing. I'd never heard of John Martyn - I looked him up after listening - very odd that someone with such credentials should escape my notice (I must live in a bubble).

Any way, just wanted to say great job all around.

Yeah, I'm also not familiar with John Martyn...  but I really liked this a lot.    Jazzy without being completely jazz, just a great blend of different styles and very well done.  Rolled up into nicely airy/ambient mix that simply works.

This is incredibly somber ... Love it! Really great stuff. I'll have to look up John Martyn now. I love the style. You did an amazing job on the performance and production. Kudos!

Thank you for the very kind responses and I am grateful you like it.  Jamesg, I hope to add guitar at some point but i want to be careful with it.

JM is a rare gem and i think the eclectic range of his talent (and his self-destructive behavior) worked against his being better known.  Glad to hear others share the affection for his music.  Here is one of my favorite performances:
