I was just impressed at my own head's ability to create such a superb fantasy character.

It kinda spoiled it when it all got rolled over and made real though...

What about the Chick that was really a dude?

Strummy and I were amongst  the first to pick up on that whole bottle of yuckiness............

I think some of the unknowing male forum members were actually having internet foreplay with her................I mean him.

You mean that Jessie Sammler character  ? That was sooooooo obvious.  Did people really fall for that ?

yes.  some people fell for it.  not me.

in fact, I have su****ions that he's still around under a different login now and no longer trying to fool people in that way.

No Reece, it's not Bub his politics would have betrayed him...

The guy behind Jesse must have been a Democrat....

Mickey McFinnigan or whatever the Irish he calls himself is my favourite spoof character.  Now there's somebody I wouldn't mind finding out their real identity...to be sure...to be sure...

And what about PeggySueChan, 'Corporal' File077, (Chris) Wood67, (Dave) Cryophonik, SteveJL, me old mate (Paul) Fog, Texrat, Oaf Topik, Dave King, The Bapu.

I'm still lurking. I would come in here whenever I needed to nurse my running injuries and had to elevate my feet and ankles for awhile and couldn't walk, much less play the piano. I listened to all ya'll's music and stole--er, learned--a lot of good stuff from ya'll.

Last time I was here, I had broken an ankle, and had two weeks of down time. I listened to everyone's music, and lo and behold (!) when I left, I wrote some fantastic music. I gained so much creativity just listening to the deep talent abounding here, that I began to learn--I think for the first time in my life-- to really put music together.

And I learned from these Cakewalk musicians that imagination can run circles around theory. However much I knew of music theory, I lacked in imagination. And today I came back to listen--uninjured--to the many here who should be pros, and learn more from them.

What happened to them? Well, this place is not exactly conducive to all peoples thought process's, especially when you're trying to concentrate on a given set of disiplines and procedures. Phuket ling ling went back to being a rice farmer due to tribal instability and economic need, all the others didn't have the time to take to be here or they found what answer they were looking for or choose a different venue. Why people come and go here is just too variable to worry about. Welcome to the coffee house, please leave your trash in the hopper.

There used to be more colorful characters here. It really has become quite bland. It's spirited discussion (within reason) and the exchange of ideas that keep things interesting.

Well said. There is some incredible talent and creativity here. Sadly some of it does not get the recognition it deserves. Wish there was a way we could leverage all our collective will and create a CW label and promo org.
