Remove Generic Surface?

Remove Generic Surface?

Just to the left of my track in the Track View is a Generic Surface Indicator. When right-clicked I have the option to 'Move Generic Surface Here' but there is no option to Remove it. I don't know how it got there and as long as it's there, my meters will not show numeric levels when the track is put into Record mode. How do I get rid of it?

    Uncheck or remove in control surfaces dialog box in the Options menu.
    I think that's where it is, haven't used 8.5 in a while.

    Gustabo: Thanks, I also discovered that I didn't have 'Show Numeric Values' checked for meters in Record mode - so the display issue wasn't related.
