Removing Vocals in HS7

Is it possible to remove vocals from a .wav file in HS7? I tried doing it according to the help file but it doesn't work. Is there another way to do this?

No, it's like trying to remove the eggs from the cake after the cake is baked.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.

In Sonar X2 Producer, there is a tool called RMix which I've actually heard remove vocals.

How well any tools like these work depends on the original recording. Normally the vocal has to be dead center in the stereo field.

It's all relative - what kind of result do you expect? What would the instrumental be used for?
If you want to get close to "karaoke'able" quality, my guess is that in 80-90% of the cases it's not possible, no matter what software you use.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.
