Removing an Automation Lane

Hi Everyone,

Quick question (I think). I've recently started getting into automation to increase what I can do with my music. One thing though that I haven't figured out...

If I create a new automation lane on a synth track, and say set it to the cutoff or something, and start playing with it, and then decide "nah I'm just gonna leave it at normal" ... What is the proper way to remove any automation (assuming I've already moved on and just a simple 'undo' is out of the question)?

Choosing remove automation lane just seems to hide it but with the automation intact. And if I just select all and delete the lines and curved I've drawn on, it's not at the default I started with, it's all at the bottom instead. My solution for now is just drawing a straight line down the middle from beginning to end, but that's annoying.

Thanks for the help!

Right click the envelope. You can also reassign it there.

See that's what I was trying but it just hides it. Doesn't seem to actually remove the automation, just hides it so you don't see it. Unless I had some setting changed. But the right click described above does the trick :-)

That's correct. You need to right click and delete the envelope to get rid of it!

Peace!
