Re-orchestrated a song with new orchestral library - Retro Sci-Fi/Spy Theme

I recently bought some updated sound libraries to get better orchestral sounds, among other things, for my song writing.  I bought East West Quantumm Leap Orchestral Library  to provide some better assortment of instrument sounds for using with my songs.   As a learning assignment I took one of my existing songs and re-orchestrated it with the wider assortment of brass, xylophone, piccolo, and string sounds from my new East West Orchestral library that I bought.

For this song I was going for a retro sound to try to re-create the feeling of seeing a classic Sci-Fi/Spy movie  from the 60s.   I was trying to make a theme for a movie (that never existed) where Mayberry is invaded by a flying saucer and Don Knotts sent to investigate.

The new orchestral sounds really helped to get a more realistic sound that I was going for.

Here is a link to the new re-orchestrated version of this song:

Thanks for listening,  --Jim

Jim, you nailed this.  I can see the look of surprise on Aunt Bee's face when she see's the changes in Opie.  Not to worry-Otis, the town drunk along with Floyd the barber save the day.

    All the best,

"I wrote this as a project to try to capture the sound of a 60s sci-fi comedy"

Mission accomplished!  That is simply brilliant.

Fabulous work. You have made the libraries come alive like few others here. Loved the wall of voodoo sound.

Thanks so much for the comments guys!  I appreciate it very much.   I spent hours trying to use the right articulations for each of the orchestra instruments on that track to get the parts to sound more realistic.  I didn't realize there were so many ways for a trombone section to make a sound, but it's nice when the library has all of the right ones sampled for the effect you want for various notes (swells, staccato, etc.)

I really appreciate you all listening to the track.
