Replacement plugin alert

Does anyone know why the alert window for a missing/matching plugin keeps popping up each time I reopen a saved project that I had accepted the replacement for previously?

Example: One of the factory fx chains has an instance of LP64 Eq. In the chain it is named LP64_EQ_64 versus how the one is named on my machine LP64_EQ. The prompt pops up and points out the difference, suggests the suitable replacement and I accept. But that interchange is lost on project save. Head scratcher...

I do know how to manually make this stop, I think I may just be griping about Sonar not doing this automatically.

Try not accepting the replacement when you first open the project.  Replace it manually than save the project.  See if that works.

That or just delete the fx and replace it manually. The only step in-between is to first save the preset and reload in the reloaded fx. Thanks for your suggestion!

    Workaround:

Thinking that there may be other factory fx chains using the same naming convention noted above for the LP64 Eq. I created another folder in my VST folder for a secondary LP64 Eq and renamed the dll to LP64_Eq_64.dll
I now have two of these eq's loading but no need to change my plugin manager. Reopened the project and all is well - no alert box. I don't like having two instances in my folder, but not a biggie.
