Replika XT

Native Instruments released Replika XT. Looks interesting but Replika is still unusable for me in Sonar even after the updates. In any case, upgrade is $49 if you already have Replika. $99 full price.

Peace!

I got the upgrade to XT today, and for anyone who likes the original (I use it a lot), it's really nice - expanded interface and lots of new presets (well over 100, easily), broken out by usage and type (rhythmic, modulation, reverb, special FX etc). There is also a demo version that folks can try.

Daniel, I'm curious about your experiences with it. It crashes Sonar, or won't run...?

Regards,

Rob

Did you roll back to the last working version? That one still works fine for me on Platinum.

When it comes out.

Exactly.

NI are good marketeers. They release new versions, sell updates and then add them to the bundle.

For someone with a current need for the new features, paying the discounted upgrade price at release can be justified.

But for me? I can wait. I've been waiting. I passed on the K10U update, to wait for K11U. Including the 4 new VIs you mentioned, the upgrade to K11U "when it comes out" now seems justified.

Not that I've heard but I would think it would be safe to say it should come out with in a few months.

If you have to get something you can always sell it when the next bundle comes out. I'm kind of thinking we might see a redo of the Electric Pianos. They did a great job on the acoustic pianos in K10.

Or maybe they announce a subscription model for the next generation of products. That wouldn't surprise me either.

Strummed Acoustic will be in K11.
Edith says: it sure ain't in K10U, yet it's already called a Komplete instrument at the NI site: http://www.native-instrum...ist-strummed-acoustic/

Has anyone tried this? Does it work well with Sonar?

I'm still hoping that they replace Spektral Delay. I have it on an old Komplete disc, but it hasn't run on windows in years.

A deep chesty bawl echoes from rimrock to rimrock, rolls down the mountain, and fades into the far blackness of the night. It is an outburst of wild defiant sorrow, and of contempt for all the adversities of the world. - Aldo Leopold

Yes, I just tried it last night. I don't have need for another delay. That said, this works fine with Sonar (at least for me). I had a blast playing around with it. It's fun, with unexpected delights from the various settings.

I don't need it. But now I want it.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

The orig Replika crashed my SONAR so much that I ditched it completely. I recently got the email from N.I. about Replika-XT and decided to re-install my orig Rep (and then did the update), and it actually worked fine all over SONAR Plat. I then availed myself of the upgrade to Replika-XT, and hey, it's ALL working v.smoothly. So now it's all good to go.

Win10 64-bit. Intel i7QuadCore 4.20GHz. 32Gb Ram. Sonar Platinum.
