Request help on mod-wheel cc

hi all,

is it possible to change the mod-wheel cc to any other cc number. the mod-wheel is usually set to cc#1, however, would it be possible to change it to something else like cc#24 or cc#xx.

many thanks...

Yes, check out this article over on DigiFreq...

If you're using SONAR X1 or X2, instead of Edit > Interpolate, choose Process > Find/Change.

And be sure to check out the free DigiFreq music recording newsletter (includes SONAR tips)...

Hi Scott, thank you for your reply.

actually i was hoping for a solution using Midi Filters or a plug-in to make the changes in realtime. That way, i could set the mod-wheel to any cc# while sequencing or playing live. i have Googled much but those avail dont seem to work with X1....

however, the "Find/Change" is working as you mentioned but i think i may have discovered a bug. Below is as follows:

i could get the Midi CC#1 to change to another CC#. it was also reflected in the PRV, Event Views and on the synth. However, there was a little confusion in the beginning as i realised there was a need to refresh the PRV and Event Views respectively. On the synth, it worked on the first time when both Ok - Ok were clicked.

now here's the issue, when i tried to do it the second time, nothing happened. i needed to UNDO back to the original cc# before i can get to subsequent cc#.

here is my sequence of works:
    1.   1st change CC#1 to CC#30 - ok it works (PRV, Event View and playback all ok)
    2.   2nd change CC#30 to CC#45 - nothing happens (PRV, Event View and playback still reflects CC#30) - tried a few times...
    3.   if i hit UNDO, PRV & Event View reflect CC#1, playback also reflects CC#1, now by using "Find/Change" i can then now change CC#1 to CC#45. (PRV, Event View and Playback all reflect CC#45)
    4.   strange though....

EDITED: thanks again, i made the "subscribe" on your link too.

Hi Jerry, thank you for your reply.

i have tried this too... unfortunately it does not work for x64. it does show up as a MIDI FX in Sonar x32 though...

if you could get this to work on x64, please do kindly advice.

    many thanks again.
