Request to Cakewalk Forum Mods
OK, I see that any threads dealing with Z3TA+ 2 are being moved to the Cakewalk Instruments forum, including my Z3TA+ 2 Poll. That's fair enough as this IS the X1 forum. So I request that you also move the sticky at the top of the X1 forum about Z3TA+ 2 being available, in all fairness.

Dunno about this one...this is kinda funny an ironic (two of my favorite things). I mean Cake, of course, is allowed to tout anything they damn well please in the sticky section of the X1 forum. But ol A1MixMan is not allowed to comment or further discuss it? What's good for the goose is good for the gander, I'm thinkin. And not altogether a bad thing for Cake to get a dose of it's own medicine. Trivial tho it may be.

The sticky is to inform people who view this particular forum about Z3TA+2's release. Wouldn't you, as someone who views the X1 forum, like to be informed when it is released? I would. And I'm glad I was.

This thread is kind of funny. The synth announcement in the X1 section is, of course, their choice. What I find ironic is that I never knew that Dimension Pro had the 1.5 update till I browsed the soft synth section of this forum.

John T I see the cakewalk forum membership is continuing to leave no stone unturned in the quest for incredibly trivial things to get uptight about. I missed the uptight bit I just read a polite request. Do you ever initiate a conversation John T or is your role here solely to grade the quality of the posts of others? FWIW, you are probably the most trivial thing anyone could be confronted with on the whole forum and yet I doubt anyone gets that uptight about it. A sticky fanfare from Cakewalk about it's release belongs here for information purposes IMO, but questions relating to it surely fit nicely in the appropiate section named Cakewalk Instruments where you are more likely to get a helpful answer and less likely to have your post critiqued by John T.

It's the constant whiny presumption of bad faith that I find tiresome. The threads haven't been moved to censor anyone or anything. They're in the relevant forum as people looking for help with it are likely to go to that forum. There are some really, really childish people on this forum. And this is only underlined by the sour vehemence with which this childishness is defended. Get a grip you soft sods.

I thought it would be good to let customers know it was now available since a lot of people who post here are entitled to an upgrade. Our goal was simply to inform potential customers.

We appreciate that you did it Andrew. I think what others are getting at is that you as a Cakewalk staffer can make a decision like that because in your mind you had a valid reason for doing so. If I post about z3ta in this forum because I had what I thought was a valid reason it would still get moved as its about an instrument. Kinda you can have grey but we get to only have black or white. Just sayin' Off to find yet more petty things. Perhaps I could change my avatar to John *

We know it's your forum. It would be a pretty barren place though if only Cakewalk staffers posted here. After all Cakewalk don't monitor this forum to provide support. Let's see now who does that - Oh its the members. I'm finding this rather amusing really. When it comes to support we're reminded that it's a peer to peer forum so don't expect support (even though it's often given) Then under this circumstance it's your forum. Wow! Apparently you can have your cake and eat it too. Puns intended. You're in marketing - perhaps you could consider charging a forum Membership fee. Or is that covered in the annual SONAR update subscription?

Please show me where I've renounced SONAR. I still use SONAR 8.5.3 professionally and continue to struggle learning X1 (when it doesn't crash) in the hope that X1c will fix things. Never said anything more or less. And why shouldn't I complain. the product I paid for desn't work. it's only because of my long association with Cakewalk that i do stick around. I wouldn't have been so patient otherwise. My comments weren't snide I was having a bit if fun at Seth's expense because I felt like his comments deserved them.

I just cannot believe i read all of this.. i must need a therapist. a) Z3Ta is part of X1.. Cakewalk would have been negligent NOT to put the sticky up for infomation purposes. b) Z3ta has its own more specialised forum for discussion. c) Polls in threads have zero validity.. there is no statistical validation for any conclusion at all. d) I did my own poll.. and 100% of people sitting at my desk approve :D
