Resize FX bin, in console view :)

I don't know about all of you, but I have a great deal of empty space at the top of the tracks in console view. I would like to take that empty space away, and increase the hight of the FX bin, so that I can see all of the plugs on a track, w/o having to use the little arrow. Is there any global setting, magic button, or Sonar ferry that I don't know about which would do this ?

Yeah I tried just about everything couple of months back, and had to give up. It looks as if it's hardcoded. Real shame. Half of that console is just dead pixelspace.

(The Dutch for 'no' is a totally unsurprising 'nay', spelled 'nee', BTW)

Roflcopter, I should look you up next year, I'm going to Amsterdam with a friend of mine. I only speak english and French, will I have a hard time commicating with people there ? I tried to look that up on the net, but couldnt find anything.

BTW, where is the FR page ? I would really like to see this. Just a button to resize would be great, like the wide/narrow" button.

I'm not dutch, so I have no right to answer this. But the answer is no. Everyone in major cities and plenty of people in small towns speak english. Although why wouldn't you WANT to take time to learn their language....I mean you have a year, and the locals are really impressed when you can say something in their language (although they may just move the conversation to english anyway...this happened to me many, many times, but never in Amsterdam for some reason...)

edit, jinga, I looked up Dutch, and its way to hard. French wasn't so bad, since it's alot like english (or should I say, english stole alot from french).. But Dutch, I don't know.

Sure, friends of mine run a 'boatel', and it gets good reviews, they could put you up, if you're into boats of course, but it's dead center of Amsterdam, so could be a perfect base of operations. Cheap too, so you can blow your money on more rewarding things.

    http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/MarieAnnsHouseboatDeoVolente-Amsterdam-6327

I actually plastered the interior, first time I ever plastered a boat, has all sorts of rounded corners and edges, and nothing is straight anywhere - my back still aches when I think of that one.

Many many moons ago I was hitchhiking through the Netherlands with a German friend. We were in the boonies (believe it or not, there actually are some) and having no luck, so we stood half-way up a highway on-ramp. Shortly thereafter the police ("Royal Reich Police", IIRC) pulled up.

They started off speaking in Dutch. So, figuring unintelligibility was the way to go, I started talking in Spanish. Unfortunately, one of the two cops spoke Italian. Close, but I still had plausible deniability. Then the other one breaks into fluent English. My friend and I continued to play dumb and started talking to each other in German. Oops. The Italian-speaking one did passable German, too.

Finally, one of them gets a bit bored and says (I don't even remember in what language), "Look, you're not going to jail - just walk down that way 100 meters and use the damned hitchhiking stop!"

    Great place!

RESIZE THE FX BIN!!!! I would love it. Even if it was a value you had to enter... I don't need it to be drag-able. Great idea! Feature request it NOW!

I think just a button to resize would be nice. Like the one already there for wide/narrow. It seems a real shame that there is so much wasted space at the top, while the FX bin sits so tiny. People use the word "clumbsy" to describe thigs a lot here, well, scrolling though your FX in that tiny little bin, with the tiny little arrow is clumbsy for sure.

Please, anyone who wants this, make the FR. I think the more people who request it, the more likely it is that they will implement it.

I just selected Sonar 5. In the first feature request box I just typed "ability to resize FX bin in console view".

In the more detailed box, I typed "I'm actually using Sonar 6 PE."

Kinda makes you wonder how often they utilize the feature request interface if they don't even keep it up to date with current versions.

    Take care,
