[Resolved] TH2 Producer - Recurring Volume Issue

Hi, all.

I'm having a recurring issue while using the TH2 Producer amp sim with audio tracks in my projects. (I'm using a custom preset that I made, saved under Cakewalk's generic preset menu rather than TH2's confusing system.)

When I open up such a project, the track with the TH2 instance is quieter than it was the last time I had the project open. If I open up the sim, and re-select (refresh) the preset, the volume goes back to its previous state (although none of the knobs on the sim are altered, including the sim's master volume in the upper right corner). But, after I save, close, and re-open the project, the volume has dropped back down once again.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and what might be possible solutions?

Thanks!

Alright, I've figured it out... sort of.

In the (unremovable/unbypassable) "TH2 Mixer Pro" module of the VST, if you switch the Mono/Stereo switch to Mono (regardless of where the Balance slider is set), then for some reason, whenever you close and re-open the project, the volume of the track in question is significantly lower. If you open up the VST and wiggle the Balance slider (or conversely, reset the preset, as I mentioned in my previous post), the volume pops back up to where it should be. Why it exhibits this behavior, I have no clue. Seems like a bug to me.

But through experimentation, I found that if you set the Mono/Stereo switch to Stereo, and just leave the Balance slider to one extreme or the other, and don't touch any other settings on the mixer, it sounds identical as having it set to Mono, AND, the volume now no longer drops when you close and re-open the project.

Inexplicable behavior, but at least I stumbled upon some kind of workaround...
