##Resolved## Windows Explorer (on Win 7 64) advice please...

I think I must have toggled something on or off by mistake here, as this problem has never arisen before.

If I want to upload an image to Photobox, I click on the upload button and a Windows Explorer Browser opens - usually it open my Pictures folder.

However, for the last couple of days, the Folder opens as usual, but the Preview Pane always opens too. Which is a pain in the arse as I never use it.

Does anyone know what I could have accidently changed, and how can I get it back to 'normal' (please note, if I open a Browser Window from My Computer, the preview pane never opens, it's only when something 'online' opens it.

Thanks in advance.

The cause of my disillusion, hatred and loathing:

Top right, under the close button are three icons.
The middle one is "Show Preview Pane"

I knew that Karyn, it's just that up until a few days ago the preview pane never appeared, so I never had to use that button to switch it off.

Most frustrating.

ok,  The preview pane button is a memory toggle.  It stays set even if you close and re-open the window.
But it's possible there is a setting in the application you're using that opens the preview pane.  Look for preference settings similar to "Use Preview when opening files" for example.

That won't stop it opening, it will simply stop Steve from closing it...
