Rest - simple music term - Help!

I can not find in the help funtion anywhere how to put in a simple rest in the staff view. News flash. Singers do occasionally need to breath!

    OK. My son showed me how to drag the note to the right to create a rest. HOW COME THIS WASN'T IN THE HELP FILE?

    actually, it is. do a search in the help files for "staff view" and several entries will come up. you need all of the info that comes up to help you thru how to create music using the staff view, so look at each topic.
