As for the song itself, it sounds like your son and friends have got talent.  Nice job!  You must be proud!
 
That being said, I think there are some mix issues.  The guitars can't be heard very well after the rest of the band comes in, but that should be a pretty simple fix.  The vocals seem a bit loud, again easy to fix by bringing it down a little.
 
The drums need a bit more help, IMO.  Did you happen to record an overhead pair of "room" mics in addition to the individual snare/kick/hat/tom mics?  If so, I suggest using them heavily.  Those overhead mics are usually most of what I use when I mix drums, and I add the other mics in a little at a time *IF* needed just to emphasize a particular drum that's not represented enough in the overheads (like the kick and snare, especially, but again a LITTLE at a time).  Right now it sounds like a bunch of different mics, not a cohesive drumkit.  You might also consider routing all the drum tracks to a dedicated drum bus with some reverb on it (the reverb will help bring all the different mics together in the mix, giving them all the same "space", if you know what I mean).  Also, I'm not sure what sort of plugins you've got access to, but many EQ and compression plugins will have settings for "snare", "kick drum", etc. that might be beneficial, especially if you wind up using those more of those individual drum mics in your mix.  I generally put EQ and compression on each of the drum mics.  A lot of times I won't include the tom mics in the mix at all, and the hat mic is only needed a tiny bit (because of the overheads).
 
All of the above is just my own $0.02, based on my long study/practice of the live drum recording process, including a lot of reading, discussion, and years of trial & error. ;)  Other engineers may give you different advice!  There's no "right answer" in music.  Anyway, good luck. :)

Pretty funny, I have a song up with my son singing too, but he's 10 :-) I hope he's in to music when he's a teen. 
 
I would push this a little harder on the mains, and pull him back some. I listened on the laptop speakers 1st. And I couldn't really hear the music, I could hear the drums "a little" but I could hear HIM LIKE THIS! So I would definitely mix him down some in the mix. I confirmed this in the phones. 
 
The vox are so overwhelming the mix that it's difficult for me to comment on the rest of it.

yea, the vocals are definately too loud. I guess this mix was done by the singer? but still - the song is cool, it would deserve a cool recording and mix!
 
robby, in regards to your son (I have told this story before on this forum, but it fits here, too), I have spoken to a teacher recently, he always asks his students: "just remember: girls don't dig the guy with the high score at World of Warcraft; girls dig musicians!" This should do the trick. Because it's true!

Thanks for the feedback all.  Walt, I have always had a tough time with the drums.  In this case it was a case of using too many mikes.  I had one on each drum and they were panned wrong.  Next mix I went with Overheads, kick and snare.  I brought vocals down, guitars up...

Your 2nd link (to the remix) still has the '#' in it.  Advice: test your links after you post them.
 
I was able to remove the '#' again and find the remix.  Definitely sounding better now.  Kick and snare still sound like they aren't in the same "space" with the rest of the drumkit.  I suggest adding reverb to the drum bus, as well as bringing the snare mic down even further.  It just doesn't sound natural.
 
Still, a big step in the right direction with this mix! Getting there. :)

A nice song from the son, but the mix needs lots of work, so I will come back to this when it is fixed and sounding fuller and everything is setting right in the mix. Your son sings well and I'm sure your a proud dad. Walt has given you some good ideas.
