Revised 4.0.3 patch still causing problems for me

Still getting dropouts while recording. Tried different buffer settings but to no avail. I did not try to install the entire thing from scratch as was suggested previously. Would be interested to hear if anyone else is having similar problems with the "new" patch.

Thanks.

    Larry,

By the above do you mean Sonar or the patches?

I know you tried 4.0.3 version A. Before installing version B, did you go back to a previous Ghost image, or just installed on top of version A?

If you've got a Ghost image of your OS before Sonar, or at least Sonar pre-patched, I'd say it's worth a try doing the rest over again (even though it's a PITA). At least you can tell Cake tech support you followed their recommendations.

    Good luck,

I was in the middle of a session when things started going sour (again, my bad for not testing beforehand). I had installed the first 4.0.3 patch and when that didn't work I re-Ghosted back to a previous image and then tried the newer 4.0.3 patch.

The only things I had time to try were defragging the drive and playing with the I/O buffer settings. Couldn't waste more time so I simply re-Ghosted again. I'll have some time today to look into it more. If nothing else, I'll try a fresh install of Sonar and all the previous patches and see what happens. Maybe it was just bad kharma

    hi larry,

yup, i've got the same problem as you have. i was attempting to record the trilogy vsti yesterday over another audio track yesterday and the audio track would drop out, but with a strange kind of regularity. the first beat of the audio track would play but then be silent for beats 2 and 3 and the audio would reappear on beat 4. so i had this "beat blank blank beat | beat blank blank beat | beat blank blank beat" thing happening.

i might have to roll back to 4.0.2...
