Revisions to the TOS

There's not much I could really complain about, but I will anyway. The TOS should be ammended as follows:

"Anyone that publicly threatens to leave a thread, or block somebody, must do so forthwith or face shunning and banishment".

Harsh but fair. Now I'll wait to see what the penalty is for suggesting amendments to the TOS.

Regards, John

There's a TOS?   Does that mean that anyone who actually follows the TOS is a TOSser?

I think you have a good idea, but there is a problem with intent.  Are they really threatening, or are they trying to be unfunny?  If we banned or shunned someone for every misguided joke, this place would empty out very quickly.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

It's only a suggestion, so I don't think there should be any penalties for that. About the "shunning and banishment", that seems a bit harsh and probably unfair. Many a times, people say things in the heat of the moment and later on after calming down, they realize their mistake and apologize for their behaviour. If they were instantly banished, this would be a very unforgiving place and like Jan said "this place would empty out very quickly".
In consequence, Bapu would have to resort to replying to his own posts......

    Hi ampfixer,

I'm assuming this is directed at me because of your 64bit VST thread in the X1 forum.

I did block John, that's why there's been no response to whatever he said after I did it.

I'm really tired of getting ganged up on by him, John T, FBB over our differences of X1.

I think it's clear I've made a good effort to avoid discussions with these people for the sake of the forum. Yeah, it's childish to block people, but it's also childish to do what these three do constantly if someone doesn't agree with their view of Sonar.

Sorry about the thread you started upstairs. If it will help, I'll go back and remove the text from my posts ...
    Let me know ...

N/M ... took care of it.

There should also be a new TOS rule ... let sleeping dogs lie ...

Bub, you simply have to loosen up a bit. Do you know how many people this thread could apply to? I sent both you and John a very nice poem when closing that thread. Relax and have a chuckle, life's too short.
