Rewire makes jogwheel movements go into feedback-loop

Hi,

Whatever Rewire-slave is loaded into the synth rack (doesn't have to be opened nor activated), it makes any navigation by the jogweel go stutter and jumping back/forward like crazy.
Jumping to markers has the same problem, due to feedback - I assume - it always jumps 2 at the time..
Since it still happens when the Rewire application is not loaded, the problem must be solved within Sonar, but I just can't find it anywhere.

I hope anyone knows how to fix this,

Thanks

Is the jog wheel being forwarded or active in both apps? Otherwise make sure it is only active in one of 'em.

No, the MIDI port that recieves the MCU's signal is not activated in any Rewire-slave application, and there are also no MIDI tracks forwarding data into the Rewire system...
Also, the weird thing is that the Rewire application (eg. Reason or Live) doesn't have to be running. Just inserting either one of them in the synth rack introduces the problem.
I already disabled all MIDI sync options, MTC etc. - If I'm correct the Rewire system doesn't need these to sync.

You are right you don't need to set anything up for them to sync just insert the Rewire app. using the default sync to audio.

    This sounds Strange.

Have you tried eliminating the controller by disconnecting it before you load Sonar and a Rewire app? And try deselecting all but the Midi out channel that you intend to use in Sonar and see how you go.

I don't know anything about Ableton so can't help there. What versions are you using maybe it's an incorrect version rewire.dll thats been installed.

If you're using Sonar 7 and Reason 4 and the latest version of Ableton there shouldn't be any problems.

Maybe it's worth uninstalling the rewire apps and installing them one at a time just to make sure there is no conflict between the two.

Short of trying that I don't know, getting R4 to work with Sonar was a no-brainer for me....which is just as well.
