Rock You Like A Sandycane.... for the hurricane victims (no offense meant in the lyric)

Just a quickie cover HERE
(BTW, Mooch made me do it.)

On the soundcloud page you can download the song (or not) but if you do, please consider making at least a $2 donation to a Hurricane Sandy relief fund of your choice. Heck, make a donation even if you don't download i, OK?

You can make donations here ----> Red Cross <------- if you know of no other.

Updated 31 Oct. 2012 now with guitars by SteveStrummerUK, thanks mate.

I have a very dumb question...especially as I have my own Soundcloud account.  Where is the volume slider, if any, on a SC file??

Nice cover, Ed.  I wouldn't be surprised if thousands of people were hearing this in their heads as they fought for survival.

    no offence meant

You've been hanging out with those Brits too long, Ed. It's "offense" over here in our dictionary.

And I am just a little offended, because those whiners in New York are getting all the attention while meanwhile out here in Seattle we've been enduring literally weeks of nonstop drizzle!

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Hey, Ed and Steve,

Very nice job on this "poetic" cover of a true 80's monster rocker for a good cause!

Great guitar work, nice mix, and I agree with Grant about the brilliant "Shatneresque" vocal interpretation.

This song actually brings back lots of good memories for me, because it was the show starter for one of my cover bands when we went out on the road in the '80s.  We always started the guitar intro in complete darkness and then one of the follow spots would hit my Les Paul after the spotlights were spinning around the smoky room, then after this song, we went directly into the Scorpions "Blackout" which was getting tons of radio airplay at the time.  Ahh, yes, good times!

    Great work, boys!
    Bob
