Rockin' your socks off(sorry the earlier one was a wrong song)

Decided to put some rock on instead. An oldie which is not always a bad thing.

Nice work. It needs vocals though.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Thank you. You are most welcome to provide them:) I am not a lyrics writer. Merely a composer and not a very good one. And talking is hard enough for me.

Thanks a lot Starise. I have always liked your productions. ATM I am having trouble writing comments on Soundcloud for some reason. I am using my phone for writing on the forums and SC too.

Not sure I'd classify this as rock, but what do I know. Nice mix, everything sounds pretty good. Reminds me of early Giorgio Moroder.

Thank you Dan for your kind words. I agree it ain't rock but it has rock guitar sounds so it is actually a mix between rock sounds and some sort of pop style. Although there are also pop style sounds.

Nice work. It needs vocals though.

A pet peeve of mine...why do people say that about instrumentals?  Did 'Albatross' or 'Axel F Theme' need vocals?

Cool, powerful track Antti, sounds very crisp through my headphones.

It doesn't sound like smelly feet at all - not one bit.
Nice composition Kakku - the mix is a bit 'middley' for my ears which loses the highs and lows.

This song has no odor at all -- and --- it sounds might good.  From this song I hear that I am not the only one that like to mix up genre.  Oh ya, I agree with some of the above  --- it doesn't need vocals.
Very good number indeed  --- I enjoyed it!

Well I must say I am mighty surprised. I feel like a million bucks:) I haven't got this many pleasing comments in ages. Thank you Gentlemen! Although I must say this gives me a lot of pressure for the next tune which I am about to put here too in perhaps a couple of days even. And it is true, for some reason I did not put enough low notes on the bass sound.

works for me...  it does have a bit of a dance feel to it, almost, but the guitars add enough rock edge to make it more cross-genre IMO.   Particularly the crash cymbal at the end.

Mix-wise I do agree with Daryl though.  It's a bit midrange-ish and could perhaps use more thump and air.

There was a period when I cut everything to make it less bassy. I had read that cutting bass eq things is a good policy. I nowadays would do things differently but maybe I still can some day fix things. For now I try to boost bass when I listen to those unfortunate eq experimentals. Thank you for listening and commenting.

Hey kakku,

I like the whole cross-genre vibe, I think there are some interesting sound worlds to explore in what you've done with this song. dcumppian mentioned Moroder, I think this track reminds of his work as well. The arps, the guitars, and the lead sounds were well done. Good job on this man.

Well Thank you Amine. I regret that I did not listen to the eqlevels before cutting the bass and perhaps also treble.

No need to be so hard on yourself, and definitely no need to be dwelling too much on our past musical endeavors. It's always going to be a journey and not a destination, you just have to keep moving forward. Even with the songs I just posted, as much as I'd like to address some of those issues, I can only take the feedback I was given and use it on future projects.

If you don't learn at least one thing on every new track you mix, you're phoning it in. That, or your name is Bob Ludwig...
