Rockwool Weight?

Hello guys!
Can you help me please?
My reseller is offering me 12 panels of semi-rigid Rockwool of 1m x 0.6m x 0.05m with a density of 55Kg/m3, and they say that the 12 panels have a total weight of 7lb (3Kgs)
Are this specs right? Im in dobut about the total weight, cos´ ive never saw or touched rockwool (or any other acoustic material) of this kind and in "paper" it seems kind of light to me... but maybe that´s the right weight of the material...

    No, that can't be right.  If it's similar to OC 703, it should weigh approximately 30 to 40 lbs. I would think.

    No, Dave's absolutely right - it's WAY heavier than that - I bought a pack of these:

    And I could barely pick it up!

    Well, it was heavy


    Actually - I just plugged those weights & densities into a spreadsheet and they come out at 3.63lb per panel, 43lb in total
    Seems about right to me.

    So... i don´t get what are they offering me...
    Maybe the made a typo and instead of 30kgs, they wrote 3...

    If they got it all correct but the total weight, it should be 19.8kg. If they got the total weight right and density wrong, it's 8.3kg/m^3 which is no good. They have not just made a mistake with a missing zero, the numbers are just completely wrong. Just make sure it's 55kg/m^3 and the dimensions are correct and you got a deal!
