Roland Boutique Synth USB audio silent

I just purchased a used Roland JX-03 synth module and the little mini plug output doesn't work. It does have a mini usb which is supposed to transfer audio. I have Sonar x3 with a UA Apollo interface and I spent most of the day trying to get it to work with no luck. Any ideas??

    Return it.

If it sends audio over USB that means you have to use it as audio interface which means you can't use your Apollo. You'll also have to install its ASIO drivers or, if it's class compliant, switch to WDM mode.

    I agree.

At the very least they should attempt to repair the broken output plug. If they can't do that then they should issue a full refund.

    Thanks Sander,

Yes I downloaded the Boutique driver and it took over my system. When I went into audio data I noticed that I could check mark the Apollo ins and outs only after I unchecked Boutique. I was hoping there was a work around but I'm not willing to use to use WMD for this toy.

The ASIO spec permits the use of only one I/O driver at a time. To use more than one driver at a time requires a different Driver Mode such as WDM.
