Roland D-50/Juno-106

Curious if anyone knows or has heard anything on a VST version of the D-50 or Juno-106? Maybe to be included in Sonar8...9?!?
Thanks,
Tommy

The closest I've seen to a Juno-106 emulation is the Juno6VST, which obviously emulates a Juno 6/60:

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/juno6/

It's actually kind of a fun little freebie. There was a VST known as the 'Flintlock' Juno 106, but I can't seem to find it and one source mentioned that the developer is in jail. As far as what's included in Sonar 8 or beyond, no one except the folks at Cakewalk knows, and they ain't talkin'

there have been a few about, I think the Juno6 one was also around for linux.. but well it's probably a roland trademark , so you can't use something called that without permission.

maybe someone will come out with something like that, or license the name etc.. like the Jupiter 8 etc.

it would be nice if Roland / Cake worked more on something, as much as yamaha / steinberg did.. (you get sounds off the motif with cubase)

of course you get the groove synth + tss , but one of the old school synths would be nice addition also, perhaps even one of the JV units (I think it also had add on cards?) would be nice also, or maybe thats in the works.. I mean Korg have done it with the M1 etc, so why not Roland.

The TAL-U-NO-62 emulates the Juno 60 also, and sounds very good. Free, too.

Those synths are too niche' nowadays to be included in a standard install of Sonar, even though Roland is more prominent as a partner. Look possibly for Cake/Roland to release these in the same way Korg released the legacy collection.

Spectrasonics' Atmosphere is as close as you'll get to a softsynth version of the D-50. The guy who created Atmosphere also worked for Roland during the development of the D-50.
