Roland Micro BR80

anyone using this with Cakewalk Le-a friend of mine wants one for writing and asked me to check them out.
any advice??

    The Roland Micro BR-80 is a (tiny) stand-alone multitrack hardware recorder.

    I had the model before and there was no facility to interface it with a DAW - it is not an interface.

    Oh, looks like I'll have to retract that statement. It seems Roland say it CAN be used as a USB interface.

    It would have to be pretty limited, though. Built-in stereo microphone and jack input for guitar. Sort of a DI box with effects.

    If that's all your friend needs; well and good. If any serious intention to do recording is behind that seeking for advice, you do get Cakewalk LE bundled with Edirol and Roland interfaces. too.

    thanks anyway
    obviously i read all the reviews first -i was hoping someone around here was using it for quick grabs etc and could personally recommend the unit.
