Roland SPD-S pad and Sonar?

So, I'm trying to incorporate my Roland SPD-S pad into my set up...  I'm definitely new to sonar and to my prisim orpheus interface ! Midi has really never been a problem before...  I'm all plugged in from my pad to my interface, just can't figure out where to go from there.  My software in the past has usually just recognized the midi inst.  Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to trigger sounds on sonar using my Roland SPD-S pad in Sonar?  Am i missing something??  Thanks!

I have the same pad but sorry, I never used it to trigger it live. I record MIDI data, use mapping to trigger the SPD sounds, record that audio and Drumagog to replace the sounds.

Here is something that might help Blades.
