Roland Studio Capture / Windows 10

Anybody using Roland's Studio Capture interface with Windows 10 yet? If so, how's the performance?

I have the Octa-Capture and I am waiting to hear the same thing.  There was a post about two weeks ago from someone using Win 10 beta with an Octa-Capture and it was working well.

I am going to wait a while before performing the upgrade to Win 10 to make sure the Octa-Capture will work without problems.

Peace,

I just hope for your sake that EVERY Octa-Capture user doesn't think the same way.

Patiently waiting with 2 Studio-Captures staring me down. There is a installation hack to get the SC driver to work now but I decided to wait for the official windows 10 driver. The install hack is in the Computers section of this forum if you can't wait. I think I am going to play it safe for a while.

Hi Sidroe, sorry to be "that guy", but I've searched the computer section and can't find the info for forcing the SC drivers to work under windows 10, could you point me at the right direction please?

Unfortunately I had scoped these forums and found people weren't having any issues running the SC driver under the previews, so I (wrongly) assumed that installing win 10 RTM would be fine.....

Hey guys,

Happy to say Windows 10 just notified me of an update for STUDIO-CAPTURE and it works great now. FWIW: I use STUDIO-CAPTURE, VS-700C and A-800 PRO.

I'll keep you all updated with information on other products as I find out. I can say that all drivers will be installed automatically via Windows 10 from now on.

So there is no longer any way to store and back up a working driver installation package in case the next released driver has some sort of a "problem" ... ???

Sorry, horsefight! I have been busy and just now got back to the forum. As you can see, Windows 10 drivers are here for the Studio-Capture and most all of the supported Windows 10 interfaces. Hope all goes well with my install of 10 now.

Hello Brandon.

Good to hear from you and hope all is well for you and yours.

Thanks for the update.  Am waiting for the driver for the VS 100.

One question.  The list says that the Editor for the A 800 Pro is not supported.  Does that mean the editor software will no longer work?

Re: Roland Studio Capture / Windows 10 2015/08/03 14:25:06 (permalink)
Well! I made the jump this morning to Windows 10. The Windows 7 computer had NO issues whatsoever. And the 2 Studio-Captures lit right up and are working fine!
BUT! I installed 10 on my 8.1 laptop and all hell broke loose with the Studio-Captures! It seems the old driver was keeping the new drivers from seeing ANY Studio-Captures at all!!!!
The problem was finally remedied when I un-installed the old drivers. As soon as they were gone, everything went smooth as buttah. I don't know for sure but anyone using these interfaces might need to just un-install the old drivers before you upgrade to 10.
I know all systems are different but this was my experience this morning.
Anyway, all seems well now in 10land.
