Roland TD-8 .ins file for Sonar

Does anyone have or know where I could find an .ins file for my TD-8 drum module? I would have thought it would be on the ftp but I don't see it.

Thanks
Mike

Strangely, even though Roland and Cakewalk are partners, many items from their catalog are missing. I would love to have a Boss DR-880 .ins file, but Boss told me that they haven't made it, and that they expected Cakewalk to do it. Go figure.

You've gotta love that huh Kurzman? Funny thing is that I replaced a dated drum module that was fully supported with an .ins file with a nice, shiny, new (to me) Roland V-Drums module that tracks drums 10 times better but now I can capture the midi performance.

There must be some way around it.

    Thanks

The TD 10 definition is the same. I use it and just rename it TD8.

Sorry to be so dumb, but where can I find the TD-10.ins file? I don't see it on the ftp either.

I did download instructions on how to write your own .ins files so if the TD-10 ons is different at all, maybe I'll spend the time to edit it specifially for the TD-8.

    Thanks

where can I find the TD-10.ins file?

It's listed in the Roland .ins in your "Instrument definitions" file.

    Hello foolsfortune,

You probably haven't waited for me to solve your problem but I've just read your post and I've got hold of the .ins file I made for my Roland TD-8 Percussion Sound Module in 2003. (It was on a floppy disk !)

I've spent many hours on it in order to reflect the TD-8 architecture at 100%. I even remember having rectified some mistakes in the manual charts !

    Here's the download link : https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=273acee338140c9e&resid=273ACEE338140C9E!123&parid=root

Hope it will be useful to Sonar and TD-8 users.
Enjoy ! (like crack teams say)

    Hello cmemx,

    >Just saw an old post where you had written a drum map for the TD-8 module.
    >Cant thank you enough. Although I'm not sure how to install it yet, I will... Well done......

I can't send any MP because of my newbie status !
Thank you to have sent me this mail. I can't help you for installation because I've not used Sonar for about 10 years...
But I remember it was simple, I'm sure you'll find some help here.

    Good luck !
