Roland VT-3

Ive just installed the Roland VT-3. Using this as my audio interface now... But, trying to record I have issues ... it seems that the backing track get recording as well as the vocal.. (this includes the metronome) ..
 
Clearly, there is something Im doing bot quite right... has anyone installed the VT-3 yet in Sonar X3 and had issues? Im still searching for the answer and trying to think logically but im not Spock!
 
Oh, the sample rate has set to 96khz by default no option to change or so its seems...

    think ive resolved this... as I think it was a 'loop back' setting when the VT-3 boots up... but the sample rate might still be an issue...
