Rollback?

Why do we have to install updates via the "Rollback" option? Is it just for early access programs or is this how we're going to have to install updates this year? Last year we simply ran CCC and clicked the install update link. Just wondering.

Rollback is used for the Early Access Program so users wanting wait for the regular release will not see the EAP updates. Rollback is a small inconvenience for those wanting to participate in the EAP. The regular release update process is unchanged.

It is rather confusing. Thanks for the clarification.
