Rolling back Sonar Platinum installations
I've recently learned that you can "roll back" the Sonar version using the Command Center by right-clicking on "Sonar Platinum", selecting Rollback and choosing a version to roll back to.
What action would replicate this once the Command Center has gone and you have to operate via the raw installer files contained in the Downloads folder?
Do you need to uninstall Sonar Platinum through "Add / Remove Programs" and then reinstall an older version (e.g. uninstall SONAR_Platinum_Setup_23.10.0.14.exe, reboot then install SONAR_Platinum_Setup_22.10.0.19.exe), or can you simply run an older installer (e.g. SONAR_Platinum_Setup_22.10.0.19.exe) and it will replace the currently installed later version automatically?
Further, can you install any version over any other version and it will sort itself out, or does switching from one version to another in this way lead to instability?
Thanks,
Steve
