Rolling back to X2

Q: Is there an easy way to roll back the X2a patch to X2 minus a complete install?

I'm on vista and X2a works, but is a little quirky at times.

Thanks

Unfortunately Cakewalk has never had a way to go back to a previous point release. Only some of the Quick fix patches were able to be rolled back but again that was never automatic, as you had to delete the sonar***.exe file and replace with the archived one which the quickfix archived and then replaced.
A complete uninstall and re-install is the only way.

One thing you might do is see if an auto restore point was created by Vista when you executed the X2a patch. The OS default is to create a restore point automatically when you install programs, drivers and such. Look for the date/time that is just before you installed the X2a patch. I usually create my own restore points manually if I'm installing something, just in case...that way you can give the restore point a meaningful name, like "before SONAR X2a". It will still have the date/time info as well. Richard
