Round Rock Donuts
I'm going to Austin, TX next week on a business trip (pending approval). My coworkers want me to stop here http://www.roundrockdonuts.com/ and get them some of these:  that smaller donut is a regular "large" donut. the big one is "Texas Sized"

The "Texas Sized" one is actually a spare for most compacts!!

There's speculation that the AMA forced them to reduce their "Texas sized" donut to its current size. This is untrue. I wish people would stop perpetuating these stereotypes.
The fact is, they reduced their standard size donut to make it small enough to fit through the window of a police car.

what I've heard that they do is create the texas sized one by using a round bucket of about 5 gallon size to cut the donut from the dough for the exterior shape of the texas size donut. then they use the regular donut cutter to cut the "hole"
