Routing Metronome to Head Phones

Just wondering if there was a way to route the click track (i.e. metronome) to the head phones only.  I've got an idea for a project and while building the project, I would like to have the click track on a set of head phones without it coming over the monitors.

Currently, I am working in X1.  I should be updating to X2 in a week or two.  I imagine the "technique" or the principals would be similar.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming you can route some of your outputs to monitors and split off a separate output to your headphones with your VS equipment...

One of probably many techniques to try is you could create a single track with a midi drum beat that substitutes for the metronome.  I do that all the time. I use TTS-1 to provide the drum sound. Route the output of that track to a bus of your choice and route that bus to something on your audio device that goes to your headphones.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

It is absolutely possible to route the Metronome bus directly to a headphone output. I do this myself from time to time. However, it really depends on your audio interface's routing capabilities. I didn't notice any mention of your interface, so I cannot comment whether you have this available.

    Kind regards,
