I remember someone else pointed out this ARP a few weeks ago -- it's definitely cool - and John, thanks for doing the vids. You need a tripod or a screen capture program like Jing ;) One of the things some people aren't aware of is the "Synth Insert Options" -- I've noticed a lot of users over the last few years mention they never saw that dialogue. I wonder if that's because it defaults to not showing instead of showing it. At any rate, the synth insert options are key to a number of 'options' (like Enable MIDI Out). Thanks for reminding me about this find Larry, and again thanks for the vid John. Now the only question is -- how long will it take for this thread to turn into a bad one? LOL

You need a tripod or a screen capture program like Jing ;) Or Three hands.. Your right Im sure many people have the synth options box check not to show again. I always show it but thats me and if I wanna get to it again I can always go to the browser select the instrument in the synth rack and then select the properties tab. I might of ran into something weird with Kirnu, Last night when recording the midi notes , I was noticing that my midi notes weren't recording what was being heard, the really weird thing was as the incoming notes were being recorded you can clearly see the correct pattern being tunneled through , as soon as hit stop the printed pattern changed , were some note were 2 and 3 it became legato so to say. Very Odd. Must be a button I clicked cause when I first tested it I could of swear that it recorded right but , I was excited and maybe It did record wrong from the start, There for it could be a possible bug in Kirnu, I did contact them and If it is a bug contact him and he will fix it. He just dosn't have Sonar to test it.

I was (am) a little confused on the routing too. Was was finally able to get it to work when inputting from my keyboard. But when playing back that recorded MIDI the arpeggiator is ignored. The synth plays the extra MIDI notes the Apreggiator created while recording but I can't get to to affect the recorded MIDI like Sonar's arpeggiator does. Is that the way it is suppose to work for the free version?

When You are recording make sure you have Record enable for the VSTi track and not Kirnu.

That's what I did. When Kirnu is active and affecting (arpeggiating) the input while recording, I hear it and see the added notes in the recorded MIDI. But but when playing back a MIDI track recording the the VSTi instrument track, I can't get Kirnu to have any affect on that MIDI.

Just make sure nothing gets recorded onto Kinru's tracks . The recorded midi track goes to the soft synth , If you see midi in kirnus lane then you will get what looks like the first note repeating in Kirnus GUI.

The midi notes are recorded into the VSTi lane so editing the note would require you to re record , Yet you can affect some parameters , But your not going to be able to loop back adjust note patterns on the fly without re recording the patterns..

So I guess this is working correctly for me. Unlike Sonar's arpeggiator, Kirnus only works with live input and not recorded MIDI. Since my keyboard skills stink I'll need to stick with Sonar's.

I recently got this working with Sonar HS 6XL, but I am unable to get the scale patterns to work in the arpeggiator. At random occurance though, the scale will show up and the program will get a little bugger where the pattern repeats itself without my pressing a button on my keyboard and without me pressing the hold button. Does anyone know what to do to get the scale patterns to work while pressing one keyboard button? It isn't working properly for me.
