Run as administrator

Hi all,what is the benefit of running as administrator when opening sonar? Just curious. Thanks.

 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit; AMD Phenom™ II quad-core processor 820; 8GB DDR3 SDRAM; 3.1GHz oc'd; 1TB hard drive; 1 TB 2nd hdrive, 1 TB usb 3.0 external HD.    Roland Quad-capture, Casio PX-310; senheisser MK-4, Shure SM-58; Senheisser HD 380 pro, krk rokit6. Subaru forester 2012.

    Nelito - It is not so much an advantage to Sonar to run as an Administrator as it is a way to deal with old-outdated FX and VSTs that have improperly implemented security.  Those that write to restricted directories or do unsafe updates to the registry will fail unless the user is an Administrator.

    All of my components are modern and do not violate the OS security rules, so for me there is no advantage to running as Admin (but it is a real security risk).  I do have to install and license X2 as an Admin, but it runs just fine for me after this has been completed.

    It helps if Sonar attempts to read from a folder where it has limited permissions.

    I have to run Sonar (not X2 but 8.5) to get Superior Drummer to work in 64bit mode. 
    I have no idea why. It just doesnt work when not in admin.mode :)
