Running Kontakt player and session drummer 3 at same time?

Hi there,

I'm probably missing something simple here, I'm trying to set up a sort of template for myself, 1 guitar thru guitar rig 4, session drummer 3 with a dtxplorer kit as input, and kontakt player with vintage organs loaded, (add bass guitar later). What is happening is that I can get guitar rig and session drummer coming  thru together, and guitar rig and kontakt coming thru together, but kontact with not work at the same time as session drummer, is it a case of some setting that allows kontact to share with session drummer?

Thanks

Oh yeah, using Producer X1 expanded with i7 2600k and 8 gigs of ram

Shouldn't be a problem at all. May be a routing issue. Maybe you could post a screenshot of your template?

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Hi there ,

probably has something to do with routing, when I dont use a drum map, they all seem to play together OK.
I really dont know why Yamaha couldn't have used standard midi note assignments, must be a problem with my drum map.

    Thanks Doug

re: maps. Are you sure you cannot change MIDI note assignments in the dtexplorer?

Most modern eDrum brains are capable of that.

Disclaimer: I use an Alesis and I do not own nor have I ever used a Yamama eDrum brain.

    Hi there,

Pretty sure about that but after a search of the forums about drum maps, and some tinkering I think I found out a couple of the
problems, I used the GM complete kit as a template and changed the input note number rather than the output number as I had been doing.
also input echo thru needs to be enabled on the kontakt player channel. When I select the drums input midi channel it disables the input echo thru,
It's been a while since I had to dig into problem solving with Sonar.
    Thanks for the help.
