Running a half marathon this Sunday.

Been training for 26.2 mile marathon on October 9th here in Chicago

I am up to 16 miles now

I am doing a half marathon (13.1 miles) this sunday August 28 in my old home town of Batavia, Il

As of right now I am 10 minutes slower than the person who came in last at this half marathon last year ...

although my last work out I was doing miles a minute faster than I usually do -- so maybe not ...

but it's a course with a lot if hills  -

so maybe

None the less   I am doing it anyway - someone has to be last - why would it be a friend of Bapu's who coems in last  - makes sense from that perspective

here are my work outs from my training - as of last July anyway - >>> http://connect.garmin.com/explore?owner=mooch4056

I'll make a short video of the start and ending of the race - and maybe at a couple of  hydration stops and post a video for you all

quote of the day

"someone has to be last in this race - might as well be a friend of Bapu's ... makes sense from that perspective"

    Mooch, hellooo.

If you just drive to the finish line you'll save yourself a lot of time and trouble.

Hehe...  Yeah, I won't run unless someone is chasing me (and, since I'm 6'4" 235lbs. with a martial arts background and projectile weapons that probably won't be happening anytime soon either!).

Mooch, you've got to be glad you're not in L.A. for this half-merriment. It's estimated to be 100 degrees F this weekend.
