Runtime error

O.K. got a project with about 10 track mostly midi,  Tried to open it today and got a runtime error.  I'm real new to this, what can I do?  I shot an email to Cakewalk support and see it's a 2 day turnaround.  Can anyone here help me?  Am I going to have to reload Sonar HS7XL and lose all my projects?

Heres the error:

the exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occured in the application at location 0x78134664.  This is in the Sonar exe file it said.

Try opening it in Safe mode (hold down shift key then File-Open). You might have a bad plug-in.

Reinstalling will not cause you to lose your projects, but you should have them backed up anyway.

Excuse my ignorance but to re-Install all i have to do is run both DVD's again right? (Sonar HS 7 and the extra XL one)  It should rewrite over the exisiting files,  I don't have to do an UNINSTALL right?

I'll try the "Safe mode "first.
    Thanks for your help davey.
