SAVE MIX SCENE no longer works with new faster starup option

You need to re-select the New Project again to have the SAVE MIX feature to work. But now that we no longer need the name, to create a new project, you lose the ability to Save a Mix scene which only worked when you did create a name for a new project. So, unless you start all over again and select New Project again, and add a name to reclaim that feature you lose on the new startup option.
 
Why isn't the SAVE MIX SCENE feature active when we use this new startup option, can't they make this feature work with new faster startup option, or am I missing something?
