For SCSI you must have a SCSI controller. What is the reason you need 10000 RPM Ultra SCSI? Those are typically in the realm of broadcast servers (TV) and are typically set up in an array (not as stand alone disk). Have you checked into SATA drives (if you have a compatible MOBO) or faster IDE drives?

If you don't know, why do you want 10,000 rpm SCSI in the first place?

For practical DAW purposes 7,200 rpm drives are sufficient. SCSI is just more expensive (additional controller required, disks rather pricey) and doesn't provide significant benefits for DAWs. Better invest the money saved in decent SATA, EIDE, USB or FW backup drives.
