SD2 Drum Kits

Is their a place I can get free drum kits for SD2, I'm willing to make my own sfz files to build the kits. I absolutly hate the kits that come with it. Much prefer the GM kit in TTS lol.

If you've got Dimension, there's shedloads of excellent raw material in the multisamples folders for constructing your own kits using sfz files.

Na I have Rapture, I have been using the SD2 drums for a while and I like what you can do with it, I just don't have good Kits. The sfz files for drums are fairly easy to write and you can get kinda creative with them also.

The kits are in Battery format. Like sfz, the samples are stored separately from the patch file, so you can import them into any format.

I agree with you about the SD kits. I've installed KitCore from Submersible Music and run that with SD2 using the variety of excellent kits that come with Kitcore and the SD2 groove clips.

There's a 'bulk buy' offer running at the moment for the full DrumCore programme; looks good!

IF its a soft synth or a Midi Device I would just write a whole note at 10 diffrent velocitys for each note, one per mesure. Then record the Device on a sterio or mono track. When it has played every note you want to sample go back and slice up the track. You now have as many samples as you need. Triming off the silence is the long part. But then ther has to be an easer way to do that to in a batch.

You can use SF9 to do all that for you and more via batch processing not only of multiple files but multiple processes as well.

    Hello,

Does anyone have all the factory patterns that came with the SR-16? I am a guitarist/pianist and a very poor creator of drum patterns. I would love to have all the patterns (beats) again from the SR-16. Session Drummer is a learning in progress but limited in the factory patterns to just turn on and jam to for creating new ideas.

    Thank you,
    Monnie
