SD3: Using a synth on multiple tracks

I searched around to see if there was anything on this, but I'm not sure I found anything useful.

I'm experimenting with replacing drum tracks with SD3 drums by using AudioSnap and inserting a synth with a particular SD3 drum program.  The question is, do I need to insert a new synth for each track?  Or can I use one and assign it to multiple track?  Essentially, I'm using all of the drum sounds on one particular program, so I'd like to just map it to the one synth.

the easiest way is to insert the synth and check "all audiooutputs stereo" or something like that..
that will give you 12 individual stereo tracks..
in the sd3 gui you'll find the corresponding channel numbers, default at "1", you need to assign them each to a different audiotrack/channel..

if you've already inserted the softsynth: duplicate the audiotrack of that synth.. and assign the input of each duplicated track to "SessionDrummer 2 Out Stereo" to "SessionDrummer 4 Out Stereo" and so on..

Thanks Frank, I think I figured it out.  I was having some trouble with the MIDI source as a separate track.  I started over and I think I have it working now, I just had to delete the unecessary extra tracks that it created.
